NEVER BEFORE RELEASED CHET BAKER TRIO RECORDINGS! 

This is an official release comprising 1983-84 previously unissued live performances by the famed trumpeter-vocalist presented as a three-LP Record Store Day exclusive by Elemental Music Records in cooperation with the Chet Baker Estate and INA France. Deluxe limited-edition of 180g hand-numbered 3 LP-sets.

Recorded in stereo by Radio France at La Esplanade de La Défense (July 17, 1983) and Le Petit Opportun (February 7, 1984). Both concerts are distinguished by the dazzling playing of the virtuosic pianist Michel Graillier, who performed regularly with Baker’s combos from 1977 until Baker’s death in 1988.

Mastered by Kevin Gray and pressed at 33 1/3 RPM by Memphis Record Pressing. It includes a 12-page insert with previously-unpublished photos; the dazzling performances by Chet’s drumless trios will be complemented with essays by journalist and author Ashley Kahn, journalist Franck Bergerot, Pascal Rozat of Ina France, and interviews with Baker sidemen Riccardo Del Fra, Dominique Lemerle, and Richie Beirach.
