This Elemental Music release presents the 1975 James Brown Polydor album Everybody’s Doing the Hustle & Dead on the Double Bump. It was his tenth studio release on Polydor, coming after Sex Machine Today and preceding Hot. While the album is funky enough, a third part of the LP is taken up by new versions of two old standards, “Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag” and “Kansas City”. The album is also known for being the last James Brown record to feature his longtime partner Fred Wesley. It is one of James Brown’s last great funky records!
