First released in 1966, a period in which the group was dominating the charts and recording fantastic albums, The Impressions’ Ridin’ High has all of its songs written by Curtis Mayfield, who sings lead vocals and plays the guitar along with tenor vocals by Fred Cash and bass vocals by Sam Gooden. The LP charted at #4 in the Black Albums category in 1966.
